نڙڇلو سچين آڏورين ۽ ڀرٽوڏن جي وچ ۾ کول آھي. اھو سادي طور تي ٻن حصن ۾ تقسيم ڪيو وڃي ٿو جيڪو ڀرٽوڏن جي وچ آھي ان کي منجھ ڪچوڏي حصو سڏجي ٿو ۽ جيڪو آوازي ويڙھن جي وچ ۾ آھي ان کي منجھ جهلي حصو يا صوتدار نڙوٺي چئبو آھي. اھو بغلي ڇلوڏي مشڪن ۽ ڪرٽوڏي مشڪن سان بند ٿئي ٿو. اھو پوئين ڇلوڏي مشڪن سان بند ٿئي ٿو. اھي سڀئي مشڪون واريدار نڙگهي تنت کان پنھنجي تقويت وٺن ٿيون جيڪا ڦڦڙي تنت جو حصو آھي. ھي تنت غدودي جراحت ۾ جراحت جوڳي ٿي سگهي ٿي جيڪڏھن نڙڇل جو نقصاني ضابطو ڳري آواز ۔ آواز ويھڻ يا ڏکيو ساھ کڄڻ جي نتيجي ۾ متاثر ٿي وڃي 

The rima glottidis is the opening between the true vocal cords and the arytenoid cartilages. It is normally subdivided into two parts, that between the arytenoid cartilages is called the intercartilaginous part, and that between the vocal folds the intermembranous part or glottis vocalis. It is closed by the lateral cricoarytenoid and arytenoid muscles. It is opened by the Posterior cricoarytenoid muscles. All of these muscles receive their innervation from the Recurrent laryngeal nerve which is a branch of the Vagus nerve. This nerve can be vulnerable in thyroid surgery, if damaged control to the rima glottidis may be affected resulting in a hoarse voice, aphonia or difficulty breathing.
